You can't go through Newark without crossing a little bridge that is over The Creek. The creek offers fishing, swimming (where it is deep enough), walking around in the creek, and wading. There are snakes (gardner, water moccasin, fox), fish (chubs, sunfish, catfish, bass), turtles (painted, snappers, soft-shell), and crawdads. All different kinds of animals go to the creek to get a drink or a snack of fish. Be cautious of sharp rocks, glass, and rusty metal. In the winter, kids like to walk down the frozen creek and see how far they can go. In the summer, they like to play in the creek, swim in some deep areas, and fish.
